Please join CMAA New England to hear about the recently approved FY2018-2022 Five Year Capital Program and passenger-focused Strategic Initiatives at the Massachusetts Port Authority.

Houssam “Sam” Sleiman, P.E., CCM, FCMAA, NAC, Director of Capital Programs and Environmental Affairs at Massachusetts Port Authority will discuss this capital program and initiatives and also address Massport’s projected growth challenges through creative design solutions.  

Houssam Sleiman, P.E., CCM, FCMAA, NAC, is the Director of Capital Programs and Environmental Affairs, Massachusetts Port Authority.

“Sam” Sleiman, P.E., CCM, FCMAA, NAC has over 30 years of extensive experience in the design and construction industry.  In October 1993, he joined the Massachusetts Port Authority where he has held several positions, most recently as the Director of Capital Programs and Environmental Affairs.  As the head of Capital Programs, Mr. Sleiman directs the overall management of the Authority’s capital investment program, safety program, utilities management, in-house project design and environmental permitting and management.He is also a licensed registered Professional Engineer (P.E.) in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and a Certified Construction Manager (CCM).  He is an active member of the following national organizations: American Association of Airport Executives (AAAE), Airports Council International-North America (ACI-NA), American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) and the Construction Management Association of America (CMAA) and local chapters BSCE and CMAA-NE.  Mr. Sleiman is a past chair for the CMAA National Board.  He is also a member of Northeastern University’s Civil and Environmental Engineering (CEE) Industrial Advisory Board. He was inducted to the CMAA’s College of Fellows in 2017 and the National Academy of Construction (NAC) in 2016. He was named one of Engineering News Record’s (ENR) Top 25 Newsmakers of 2009 as well as awarded Person of the Year for 2009 by the New England Chapter of CMAA.  Mr. Sleiman holds both a Master and Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from Northeastern University.
